Walking from Can Cruells Rural Hotel

Short walks

Village's picnic area: situated underneath Planoles, there are grills, tables and a water spring. 15 min. away from Can Cruells

Font Freda: spring situated next to the Collet de les Barraques road, surrounded by woods. The water's temperature honours its name, which means "cold spring". 30 min. away from Can Cruells

Font de la Vena: spring situated in a shady and cool place. It is accessible by going over a footbridge that crosses the river Rigat behind the Pere Figuera youth hostel, or branching off to the right on the Can Gasparó path. 45 min. away from Can Cruells

Font de la Navarra: spring situated on the road going down the station. 30 min. away from Can Cruells

Font de la Serra: spring situated in the village's picnic area, at the end of Andreu Illa street. 30 min. away from Can Cruells.

Planès: a village situated next to Planoles. You can walk there by following the Ventador path or by walking down the street to the swimming pool. 45 min. away from Can Cruells

 

Half-day excursions

2h walking from Can Cruells

Nevà: typical high mountain village. You can get there on foot or by road.

Campelles: 4.5km away, you can get there on foot, by bicycle or by car. Shady path. Half way along, you will find a detour going to Roca Aguda.

Fornells and Toses: from Planès de Rigat, you will find the path going to these two villages. This path goes down the valley. It is advisable to go by Jeep, although some parts of the road are paved. You can take the road under the church.

 


For the bravest

Collet de les Barraques (1,900m): high mountain meadows and woods (1,900m.), facing Puigmal and Pas dels Lladres, and Vall del Rigat. In summer time, there are cows and horses grazing freely. Picnic area with grills. Paved road starting at the crossroads at the village entrance, on the right of the N-152. 3h away from Can Cruells.

Núria (1,963m): excursion from Collet de les Barraques passing through Fontalba. You can get there on the rack railway from Ribes de Freser, which you can get to by car or by train. 5h 30 min. away from Pla de les Barraques + 2h from Cruells.

Puigmal (2,913m): excursion from Collet de les Barraques passing through Fontalba or Pas dels Lladres and following the crest line. 3h 30 min. away from Pla de les Barraques + 2h from Cruells.
